Week 30

England:

-the incredible summer england has been having is officially over :( it has been pouring rain and chilly, breakin out the tights and boots and coats! There were three days in a row this week where I was so soaked all the way through lol. But today is sunny so blessed :)

- the other day, We waved at this bloke as he drove by, he turned around and was confused, do i know you? Haha we chatted with him and ends up he is a professional football (soccer player)! He plays for Barnsley, which is kinda close to my last area haha. We gave him a book of mormon so hopefully he spreads the word to the team :)

- walking home one night, and these lil kids emerged from the park and had these creepy clown mask things. I was proper frightened, they were like 10 years old and they chased us for a bit. Rip

Funny:

-last Monday, we were going to a members house (her name is Ana, she's from Venezuela and soooo sassy and funny) and we dropped by a recent convert, jack's house to see if he was coming. He's 75 and has slight dementia, and we told him he could drive in the car and follow us to Ana's. So he hops in his car and drives so slow and then speeds so fast up to Anas (she just lives a few streets away lol). It was so funny guiding him there

-ahhh so there is a member named sister Leslie, she is 82 years old from Scotland and lives right next door to the chapel. She even has a special little gate straight from her house to the church haha. Anyways, visiting her this week was so funny. First, we had a chapel tour with our friend kristian (more deets about him later) and she was telling him the whole low down about tithing and word of wisdom, law of chastity etc.. and telling us how in Scotland she would keep her eyes open during the prayers and rebelled against the catholic church hahaha and then boom found our church. She said now she wants to stand on the rooftops and yell "I'm a mormon and I'm proud!" Haha I love her. We had tea with her (dinner) and she was cracking us up, and then yesterday we borrowed some milk from her and she was giving us so many goodies! And she has like five clocks in one room so you just hear non stop ticking haha Bless her love her

Spiritual

-so yall remember marcus? So he moved away and we haven't seen him in a while. We were really wanting to go to the adult session of stake conference, but needed to take a friend with us. So we call up Marcus and he answered and said "sisters! I just was thinking of you" Haha boom. We invited him to come and he was excited. We told him to dress smart, and the only prob was his suit and tie were back at his mum's in Eastwood. It was hilarious to pick up his suit from her for him, and were going to visit her this week lol! stake conf was great, Marcus even got to meet President Turvey. He loved it. Elder Vonderer (?) From the seventy came and spoke about we may not have a lot, but if we give what we can to Christ, he will multiply our efforts. I love that! Ps Marcus was asking us about prophets and stuff, like if the prophet is called of God and has his authority then why doesn't everyone believe him? I know right dude. Also, he was asking about the second coming and then he just said so seriously, "but what if Christ comes again and we've already left the earth in the ships? He comes down and is like, I have come to save-oh wait where is everyone!?" Hahaha I died. All I had to say is, that'd be awk..... lol

-last week, i saw this guy in the streets so i ran after him. His name is kristian and he likes to play Pokemon go and we see him all the time in Eastwood. We gave him a church tour this week and he's already done reading 1 and 2 Nephi in the book of mormon:O he's probs gonna get baptised, only sad thing is he's moving to Japan to teach English next week :/ it's been really cool tho to see his faith be strengthened in such a short amount of time, I'm glad i ran after him in the street even though felt like a chicken nugget!

- we've started having at least one hour a day set aside for consecrated finding, talking to every single person we see. President said to make it as important and immovable as a tea appointment/ lesson. So we've been doing it and wow, so many miracles! I have to remember that as long as I'm diligent, there will not be room for discouragement. Yes! Yesterday after stake conference, we saw the retail park by Ikea was poppin! (Savage sabbath shoppers) I was a lil hesitant and self conscious at first to go finding there but I was humbled and found a lot of nice and interested people there! Nice

-i finished the book of mormon this week! I planned it out so that i would finish the book on the last day of the 21 day challenge. The last chapter for day 21 was moroni 10, how perf! I know that the book of mormon is written for our day. I have really learned to treasure it on my mission! All i have to say is, Read it

-it was pouring rain one day during our consecrated finding time, we were knocking doors and i saw this girl so i start immediately running after her (ya I'm that annoying missionary lol) she didnt stop but i said hey wait! She turned around and i could tell she was crying in the rain. I said are you okay? She said yes and i just testified to her that my friend and i know that god loves her and Idk what else I said lol but it was powerful, I didn't know what to say but I was so guided in that moment. I have no idea what happened after that, but I hope she's okay. I'm grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost to help direct us even when we don't really realize it!

-i want you guys to all prepare for general conference spiritually! Y'all realise we get to hear from the prophet in 12 days! We're so blessed. I've been reading all the talks from April 2018 these last few weeks leading up to it, im loving it so far

Joys -

-i found out that rob, the first person I EVER talked to on my mission from horbury, came to church yesterday! Wow it's humbling to see little seeds being planted and that no effort is wasted! My heart is happy

-the Smith's (cute Gma and gpa) brought us stewed apple so presh

- walking in countryside from village to village when we miss the last bus of the day... soo many miles... No sidewalk, just hiking along in the fields. So fun haha

-interviews this week! I love the Turveys. They really emphasized on making church a VIP experience. Boom! I just love church. And the gospel. I love being a missionary! I love my friends! I love my family! Have a happy week!!!
