Week 16
Short one today! I just want to tell y'all about some miracles this week!
I can't remember if I mentioned this last week, but the whole mission was fasting two Fridays ago, because the boundaries are changing and 3 new zones are being added to the Leeds mission, so to keep our motivation going and fast for everything to go smoothly. Anyways, so sister cook and I were feeling really bummed out that day, because our investigator Declan had dropped us and we felt lost for a bit. But we just prayed and asked God for a miracle, and two minutes later while walking around outside our flat, we met a young bloke called Jacob. Only talked for a few minutes, and found out he had met with missionaries a few years before in Leeds at uni. Cool, so we exchanged numbers. We have been meeting with him this week and he is incredible! Seriously one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. His vocabulary is so large and is studying maths and philosophy at university. But he is proper prepared I tell you!!!! The way he has developed his faith in God and Jesus Christ is so logical to him and he said this is everything he has been missing and looking for. Tbh I feel quite inadequate to teach him, I feel so daft sometimes explaining simple principles of the gospel when his mind can understand so much more profound things, but that's what the gospel is, it's simple! Even little chicken nuggets like me can share it and with the spirit, it'll touch people's hearts. Amazing. He's getting baptised July 6, pray for him! Yayyayayy miracles
Jose got the Aaronic priesthood yesterday! So presh. A recent convert Jack confirmed him, his first time doing that. It was so special, they are buds. It's been such an honour and privilege to see him grow in the gospel! We read the book of mormon with him A lot, and the other day we were reading in 2 Nephi and he found his first favourite verse. How special! We are going to go to the temple with him in a few weeks to do baptisms!
Zone conf this week! So good as always, I love seeing everyone and learning how I can improve and be better as a missionary! the assistants asked me to lead the music again lol Idk what I'm doing, they think its hilarious, lets hope they don't make it a tradition.. oh yeah I saw another hedgehog! It was just straight chillin on the sidewalk. Hahahaha amazing. Had a lot of good laughs this week :) hehe oh yeah, me and my comp are going to york right now! We got special permission to go!
