Week 12
England-
-Hahaha...... made you read! Lol i did see the queen, on the tv watching the royal wedding <3 our mission President gave the missionaries permission to watch the royal wedding to increase our knowledge on English tradition and culture lol. It was so lovely. Her dress, the gospel choir and choir boys, oh so magical. Honestly teared up when Megan Markel walked down the aisle. I wanna be a princess. One of our investigators was down in Windsor and saw it in real life.... supes jelly
-after the wedding we HAD to get fish and chips.. it was necessary for the occasion
-so the elders in our district are party poopers (just a smidge) and canceled our district p day. Tears :( So sister cook and I went and did it ourselves, and went to the national coal mining museum of England. Needless to say, it was incred. We got to go down in a mining shaft and walk around in the mine, soooooooooo cool. Oh if you know me you know I love that kind of stuff! It was seriously so legit ugh but glad I don't have to mine haha
Funny-
-one of the senior couple missionaries gave me a card for my birthday to asda, which is like walmart (actually walmart owns it) so sister cook and I went shopping there cause she had one too and there were tons of things for the royal wedding like shirts that said, marry me Harry? (The prince). I've been really needing some summery/spring shoes, but am right in between women's and kids sizes so it's super awkward to find the right size. But don't worry, I ended up getting some black little schoolgirl shoes. And the other pair I got a few weeks ago have been confirmed as grandma shoes, I've seen quite a few old ladies wearing them. Idk why I told all that, mostly for my mom but there ya go
-i ate chicken liver this week, kinda gross but survived. Luckily here in england there's nothing really strange or bad that'll I'll have to eat.. bless
- when every old man has to comment on how good looking we are and that they'd join if all the girls look like us............ :/ bye
-there was a really drunk guy on the side of the road and we were walking towards him and as soon as he saw us he spread his arms out like wings and starts belting "amazing grace" haha fun
-okay so I'm so daft. But I had to challenge myself and go out of my comfort zone, so I had loads of mormon.org cards and spread them out and held them out to some teenage girls and said, "hey, can I show you a magic trick?" They're like yes.. Haha so I have them pick a card, they think I'm gonna do something amazing and I just was like hey you know Mormons check out the website its good or something like that. Why am i so awkward. Im glad they just chuckled with me lol
Spiritual-
-visiting little charlotte again this week, and teaching her the plan of salvation. She is so precious, it's sad cause her examples at home aren't the best. And she didn't come to Church yesterday either :( but she's doing good, hopefully we'll see her this week. And pray for her bro who is a little bit savage but he is good too :)
-jose! He's so solid. He was saying he wants to visit me and sis cook someday in Utah, oh you know we're gonna give him the whole tour of the state!! Ugh I love Utah so mcuh! And he said we always have a brother in Portugal so boom. We taught him law of chastity and I had never taught it before so I was worried I'd mess it up, but seriously he like understands everything so well. So no need to worry it was great. And we prepped him for his baptismal questions and went through them and it's amazing to see how his testimony has grown, first as a little seed, and now into a plant and it's seriously the coolest thing! Ahhh
-it really is so cool to see how heavenly father is in the details of our lives. He cares about us so much, and little tender mercies and miracles happen everyday, it's the best to be a missionary!!!!!!
-you guys! My jeru peeps will think this is cool hopefully probs. I met a lady from a kibbutz! Yes she is from Israel! How cool! She was all dressed in pink, and I said, hi you are very pink! And she started talking to us and we bonded cause she is from Israel! And turns out a bunch of her friends are members! She's actually gone to church a lot and has learned everything, even has read doctrine and covenants and pearl of great price! But since she's Jewish, she said it jsut doesn't ring true with her. Someday it will :) it was so lovely and made my day talking to her. She was so kind and made me miss jerusalem!!!!!
I love you all so much! I hope you have the best day! Whatever you're doing in life, whether it's a mission, getting married, going to uni, graduating, working, partying, traveling, etc, I hope you're having the time of your life and remember that God loves you! I'm missing you all but know you're doing amazin things. Pls send pics my peeps love
