Week 11

Happy mother's day!!!! It was so fun to talk to my adorbs fam yesterday. Especially my presh mom who I adore. Hope you all had fun talking to your mothers and missionaries and bffs and sibs and dogs and everyone else involved. Thanks to the basky crew for teaching me how to do the shoe or shoot Idk what it's called, keeping me in the loop haha

England- in Yorkshire no one says their H's, so they pronounce things like "orbury" but since they don't say the H's it gets overexaggerated when it doesn't need to be, like some say "hossett" lol strange. The bishop is our ward is always saying things like "ello welcome to the orbury ward, we want to elp everyone with the new ministering program" aha

-ya know the yellow fields i was talking about last time? Well turns out they are called rapeseed. Strange. But they are really pretty

Funny-

-this week was ight, my comp got really sick this week so we didn't have a lot of crazy funny stories. Sorry to disappoint :(

Spiritual-

- we got to go to a baptism in a nearby village Meltham, for the zone leaders friend Jack. We got a ride there with our mission leader bro boome and Jose and Christine (lady in our ward). The ride there was beautiful as always, riding through green hilly england with stone walls and buildings <3 and funny lil convos. Jose loved the baptism, it was so special and spiritual for him to see someone getting baptized. After Jack was baptized, he bore a powerful testimony and afterwards Jose was going around inviting loads of people to his baptism and texted us last night telling us his plans for who he wants to speak at his and do musical item, etc. He's so awesome! Ugh so prepared and building his faith :) excited for him!

-so this past week the elders from Wakefield (we kinda share an area but it's a diff ward) handed us their investigator Angie. Bless. She was actually baptized like 30 yrs ago in nearby Dewsbury ward, but never showed up to church after to get confirmed. So we went by a few times to teach her and two kids, but it's kinda madness over there, she would keep leaving talking on the phone, the electricity went out, and the same kids weren't there both times, but we ended up teaching her daughter charlotte and melissa (friend/cousin/neighbour Idk) haha about the restoration, taught them how to pray. It was so cute, we asked charlotte what she thought about Joseph Smith and she said, well he wanted to know so he went out and did a prayer sandwich! Haha cause we told her prayer is like a little sandwich, you acknowledge god, then say whatever is from your heart, then close in the name of Jesus Christ. It was presh

-But! We invited Angie and co to Church, (cause sis cook beat the son Cory in an arm wrestling match so he had to come ;) and invited everyone in the house. We arranged them rides and whatnot and SIX of the Angie crew made it to church! Charlotte invited a bunch of her friends, she's being a missionary and doesn't even know it haha. Whaaaat! Incredible! Since they are in the Wakefield ward, sister cook and I got permission to be split up with other ladies in the ward so one could be with Angie's crew in wakey and the other in Horbury with our other two investigators because we share a chapel and overlap meetings. Crazy haha. We were so worried but it all worked out! Blessssss 8 friends at church dab

I'm loving England! Thanks for all your love and support. Hope you all have a lovely day!
