Week 9
Hiya, this week was so quick. So much happens but i cant really remember everything lol.
England-
-everytime we try to stop people on the streets, they always say, oh can't be bothered. Hahaha cant be bothered, I'm not bothered. Ahhh you need to care Young lad this is eternal salvation! Be bothered haha
-its been supes rainy and freezing this week, with it sunny and rainy haha like a monkey's birthday like my dad would say. Speaking of birthdays..... ;)))
-green rolling hills! And yellow fields! Haha I know I say it every week but england is pretty. Lovin it
-this week we went and had district lunch after district meeting. Of course the elders chose some dodgy Arabian place (which are everywhere).. it was ight but next time the sisters are gonna choose haha
Funny-
-do you remember Glen from a few weeks ago? The one who insisted on being baptised asap? Well, we were gonna teach him this week to make sure he understands the commitment and lives the commandments ya know. But couldn't get ahold of him so we didnt see him. But saturday night, he calls us and was like, sorry sisters i was on holiday and left my phone in yorkshire but put me down for the next baptism day and I'll be at church tomorrow! Ahhh so we called the rs pres and bishop just to warn them ya know cause he's a lil bit wild
Fast forward to yesterday, sacrament meeting. In the middle of the young men passing the sacrament, Glen strolls in and says super loud, "the church is true!" Then he goes around switching seats and stuff. My comp and I got sooooooo nervous cause it just happened to be fast and testimony meeting (cause stake conf next week) and we're just thinking, what is Glen gonna go up and say...... the first person to go up and bear his testimony goes up, and then sits down. Glen got up, went around the front of the pews, saying the church is true, and handed the guy who just bore his testimony some pollo mints (like lifesavers). Hahaha our investigator Jose leaned over and was like, oh if you go up and speak you get candy? Hahahaha I wish! Yeah then apparently Glen was holding up the mints straight up in the air and giving thumbs up to everyone after they went up, gave out a few more mints to people and then walks out and the bishop went out after him, turns out he was trying to smoke in the bathroom and was super drunk :/ rip bless Glen
Spiritual-
-our friend Susan who we have been teaching forever, its so hard to keep her focused and keep her on track with the lesson, finally said a prayer with us! It was so presh, she was like, thank you for these wise girls and the truths they tell me. Then afterwards she said, I didn't even know what I was saying, I just was guided to speak!!!!! Ahhh holy ghost is awesome.
-our friend Jose is doing so good!!! Yesterday at church he was just beaming in his new polo shirt and fresh cut ahh it is so cool to see him already so much happier. He told us this week he believes in God now! Yassssss. Now just to get him to commit to word of wisdom (loves his coffee) and get him a baptism date!!
-kinda random, our flat address got chosen for her majesty service or something lol, some statistic thing so this lady came and asked my comp and I some questions about our careers and education. Probably not much of help cause we are missionaries, We don't work here in england, And we don't go to school here so ya know, kinda pointless. She asked questions about where I was a year ago and whatnot (rip target) and it did help me realize how much my testimony has grown even since april/May 2017! My relationship with heavenly father and Christ has gotten so much stronger, and my prayers and scripture study is so much better. I'm not saying I'm perfect by any means, but sometimes I get discouraged ya know and it's hard not to think about everything i do badly or my weaknesses ya know, but it was good for me to see how much I really have grown in the past year! (Not just from chocolate haha jokes) good times
I love you all so much. Keep on smiling and look at the pretty blossoms and flowers. If you are in Utah go to the tulip festival for me. Ugh I love spring. Hope you all have a fab week may the force be with you :) hahaha
