Week 8
England & joys-
-this week was HOT!!!!!! Like 70 degrees! Oooh it was lovely. We got some nice sun on our faces even! I wish everyday was like that, now back to cold cloudy weather. England gets all the seasons in a day seriously
-we have to ride trains and buses all the time and its so fun to look out and see the beautiful countryside! Rolling green hills ahhh pretty
- There are these biscuit cookie things called digestives... sounds weird but they are delish
-everyone in our ward is related somehow pretty much haha. We have a family tree in our flat how everyone is related haha
-macdonalds in england is so much better than American McD's. Haha some people call it magdonalds lol
-got permission to go to Leeds for shopping today.. booyah. On a train it takes like 12 min to get there so close. If you have ever heard of primark, it's kind of like target but wayyyyyy cheap
-seeing my mtc pals in Leeds last week! <3 We had a little meeting with the newer missionaries and that made me feel good, it was a happy little pep talk and made me realise I'm actually not the worst missionary ever, we're all doing alright
Funny-
-one of my new ZLs was in my 4th grade class lol. Idk if he remembers but I remember everything
-one night we were rushing home to be back after a lesson, and of course missed the bus and were gonna be late coming home. We called a bunch of members, and luckily one was nearby driving. She picked us up and we crammed into the car cause it was right after young women's so she had all the girls in the car haha. It was so funny, she drove like a crazy woman but we made it home right when it turned 9:30. Boom yeah
-Glen. Oh man, what a guy. He called us this week saying he was in Scotland and knows the bom is true and wants to get baptised immediately. what!!!!!!! Never happens! But some drama happened and he creeped out a member and wants to marry some ladies in the ward after he's baptised and just kinda weird crazy guy.... bless him we'll keep ya updated on him haha
-so we were visiting some less actives anne and Carol. Bless them they are so funny. They struggle with smoking and stuff but they seriously crack me up. We were reading the book of mormon with them and they were teaching us about it ahah. Its so cute/funny when Anne smiles and laughs cause she has no teeth but she just grins and looks like a lil emoji hehe. BUT. oh my i literally am crying laughter right now thinking about this. They have a dog named Tilley and it is the FATTTEST dog ever. Haha just waddling around hahaha oh when we walked inside their house she just was growling and making the strangest noises and It was very concerning. Everytime it barked they'd be like "oh give her a treat!" And saying she's going on a diet yet they literally feed the dog ice cream. Hahahahahaha it makes me laugh so hard. the dog is so chubby so sad
Spiritual-
-so last Monday met a guy named Jose on the bus, he was scared of us at first and said he was from Manchester lol but we gave him a mormon.org card and then he texted us later and said he was suspicious and said random stuff but actually wants to learn more haha.. And we've seen him a bunch of times since then, he's really open and said he's really wanting to join! He loved church yesterday too so boom yeah so happy!!!! Our other friend Mark said he felt so welcomed and part of the family at chruch... so good!
-we got to go to women's conf in huddersfield and it was all about staying on the covenant path. Ahhh I love the temple! Makes me miss it. We have to follow every word from the Lord with exactness so we can enjoy blessings of keeping our covenants!
-so last week when pres Nelson came, our zone was really focused on inviting people to be baptised. So I was all pumped up and like yes I'm gonna ask people to be baptised. So I asked 5 people we are teaching and everyone said no...... rip I was sad. but hey, it actually was good for me to remember it is peoples agency and also by inviting people they know our purpose and understand that that is the goal for them and will make them so happy in life. The gospel is so good! And so simple! Pray!!! Read scriptures!! And go to church and you will be so happy!!!!!! Christ can heal you and will lift your burdens, but only if you let him.
Love you all!!!! Keep me updated on your life :)
