Week 7
The weeks are flying by! Seriously I can't believe I just finished my first transfer. Granted it was only a four week one but still. I am staying in Horbury with my trainer Sister Cook. When we got transfer calls on Saturday night I was so nervous they were gonna take her away! The zone leaders made it seem like we were getting moved haha But blessed because they didn't. This next transfer is seven weeks long, idk why the weird lengths but oh well. Usually it's six weeks.
This week was really really cold and foggy every day almost, but today is sunny and beautiful. You know the saying if you blink you'll miss the English summer? Hahaha it's so true. Bundle up in the morning cause you never know what to expect. But this week its supposed to get up to 23 degrees celsius so it'll be niceeeee.
One day, we knocked doors on love lane, a guy opened the door and said nope go away, and if you call again I'll chuck a bucket of water on your head, and slammed the door. Hahahaha scary, we just laughed, what a savage and weird threat lol
We had tea (dinner) at an investigators (debs and chris) and they said they did some research about utahans and famous meals we have haha. They made us guess what? the top things were of course funeral potatoes, green jello, Dutch oven, and honey haha. They love us! We got them to commit to read the book of mormon! then the next day we did a little creeping prank on them, left some toy dinosaurs on their porch and a note saying "turns out dinosaurs aren't extinct! We found the Utah raptor!" With a lil scripture about how God created all things. We did it cause the guy Chris kept asking about dinos and stuff, so we thought it'd be funny. They think we are hilarious
Last thrusday, we got to go to huddersfield (at the stake center) and watch a missionary broadcast and member broadcast for the whole UK! And had some zone training in between. The zone leaders did a funny little thing with Pokemon, and how we have to catch our wild Pokemon (investigators) and train them and take care of them while they evolve to the highest Pokemon haha. It was pretty clever. The broadcast with President Nelson was amazing, so cool to see him come to the United kingdom very first for their world tour! And made me happy they were heading to the holy land next. We heard from pres Nelson, his wife, and elder and sister Holland. Incredible. It was all about revelation again, just like conference. So cool that we have a prophet that guides us today!!!! I love him. And I saw some friends from the mtc sitting in the audience lucky ducks
That's about it. This morning there was the hugest spider in our shower drain, sister cook and I about cried. We are having a good time and working hard. Hopefully some of our friends will stop flogging and make it to Church this sunday!!!
