Week 5
England-
-double decker buses everywhere!!! It's so fun to ride up top and see everything! Def a good time
-my companion "kebabtized" me, which is getting a kebab from a dodgy QFC in huddersfield. It was like schwarma like in jeru but some kind of chunky brown mystery meat. So disgusting Idk why everyone here eats it
-so in england there are savage people called chavs who go around causing trouble haha. They have a very distinct look, and everytime my companion and I see them we whisper I see a chav I see a chav it's so funny because there are adult chavs and baby teen chavs and girl chavs. They dont really mess with us luckily and I always give them a lil pass along card right after they blow smoke in my face :) awesome
-a lot of people here have never met Americans before. They are so surprised that we came to Wakefield and this area, out of all places!! But hey I love it
-april fools came a lil late and it is pouring buckets of snow right now in england. If I didn't know I'd think I was back in Utah haha single tear
Funny-
-i forgot to say this a while ago, we went to visit one of our investigators who is kinda progressing, but since it was just him home we couldnt go inside. He was like come on girls it's so cold outside just come in! But ya know gotta be obedient so we just taught him and stood by the door and he put a heater right by our feet cause he was so concerned haha. What a sweet lil old man
-dancing in the streets everyday, mostly for the chavs but also for the fellow townspeople while we wait for buses. Sis cook and I crack ourselves up everyday hahaaha. Especially in one of the bus stations they play really weird instrumental music and it's so fun lol
- last p day we were out and talking to this guy named Trevor. He had this huge wrapped up thing in his hand and my companion jokingly said, hey you got a sword? He answered, actually an axe. Lol what haha we actually talked to him for a long time and he said he's had spiritual experiences and when we were talking you could feel the spirit so strong but then he ended up not being interested. A single tear. Ugh haha while we were talking all the sudden I remembered he was holding an axe and thought wow, that's wild
-at zone conf, there were a bunch of new missionaries including ya girl sis Bascom. They had all the newbies stand and I was the only new sister in the south zone! With all of the elders. Single tear. All my mtc girls are up north :') miss them so much, but don't worry I'm keeping everything in order down here lol
Spiritual-
-wow what a week! Easter and gen conf, blessed. I loved conference, I missed the last Sunday afternoon session so let me know what I missed!! It was great though. We went to the stake center in huddersfield and watched some and then went to a memebers home and watched it and had easter din. But before conference, yesterday morning my comp and I walked around holding a chalkboard that said , what does easter mean to you? And handed out easter pass alongs with life savers, cause Jesus is our life saver :)
-my fav talks were David a bednars about meekness, and m Russell Ballards. So good. I also love from robbins talk, failure is a tutor, not a tragedy. And Neil a Andersons, the surrender of our will to gods will isn't a surrender, but actually the beginning of a glorious victory!
- im so grateful for a saviour Jesus Christ. He can heal us, we just have to let him <3 I love d&c 62:1, Jesus Christ is my advocate! and verse 3, he hears our testimonies. Ugh so good. Also read d&c 63:47!!!!
-everytime I talk to someone I imagine them as a bishop or in their temple whites. Ahhh it makes me so happy! So many people here in england do not care about religion, don't even think or have considered that god is there for them. It literally breaks my heart! If they could only know what the gospel could do for them. It all starts with faith and having that desire!!!! I love what pres Nelson said (love him!) That the Lord is so willing to reveal his gifts to us and assist us. We just have to reachout to him!!! Yeah. Pray for horbury that people's hearts will be softened!
- 2 Nephi 7:7-11. Read it yo! God is there for us, always willing to help. Many people try to walk in their own light, without relying on god. But we must rely on the true light of the world, Jesus Christ the saviour to guide us because without him we are lost! We need him and can't do it alone.
-i feel like I just love general conference and easter so much. I wish I could put into words how happy the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me. I feel so excited and ahhh yes!

-talking to Daniel whose door we knocked on. He was saying he needs proof to know god exists, we told him you have to pray to know. Just like we take medicine, even though we don't know what exactly is in it or how it works, we trust it does and it always makes us feel better. Prayer is like medicine for our spirits <3 boom!
- everyone asks sister cook and I if we are sisters! Everyday almost lol. I feel like we are sisters!!! I love her so much, she is the best ever. We have so much fun togehter in lil horbury!!
-thanks for the package fam!!! Y'all are the best <3 We had fun coloring eggs hehe
-listening to lamb of God and watching easter videos everyday got me in the easter spirit.
-every week I come up with a weekly motto. This week was: teach with the spirit, teach with love, teach with testimony. That's all you need and you will succeed!!! Even if you replace the word "teach" with "live" ooooooh soo good
