Week 2
Hi again! ahhhh I just love England so much! Its been the best two weeks and by this time next week I'll be out in the field! yayaya
England:
-It is so green and beautiful here! The weather has been a little crazy, to snowy blizzarding then sunny and then raining all in one day haha. I don't think thats normal for England but its been fun.
-I ate fish and chips! it was pretty good considering I don't love seafood haha. but I had to for the mems
-we got to go on a church history tour to Preston where the first members in England got baptized! it was really cool. also just fun to be out of the MTC for a little bit haha. It was really cool to see all the sites though, England is so dang pretty. Also got bragging rights cause my companion Sis Richards is the great great great great granddaughter of Willard Richards who was one of the first missionaries here! so boom
-yesterday we went out into rainy Manchester again to try to find some people who wanna hear about the gospel ya know, and it went so much better than the first time. I was so much braver! And only one guy was savage to us so I'd say it went pretty well :)
Funny:
-okay so idk why but we have had a different teacher every couple days, like no one is constant haha. They're all pretty funny lil characters though. One of my teachers is from austria and he participated in some goat cheese games
-same goat cheese teacher, he literally makes us cry everyday! from the spirit! haha. And now everyone at the MTC makes fun of the sisters in our class because they always catch us crying lol and there is an elder here from Switzerland who is one of those people who says to me and my companion everyday ''oh wow I'm so surprised you're not crying today!'' haha
-but then this same Swiss elder was doing this scripture battle thing with my friend sis Redington and in his german accent said 1 corinthichins hahahahaaha I couldn't stop laughing
-when you're a missionary the dumbest most insignificant things make you die laughing. But one day we were exercising and Sis Richards and I wanted to dance a lil bit and do some improv, and one of our teachers Bro Wilford was like oooh I wanna join! So we're like okay haha... but I'm telling you he was totally into it, so funny. we just made a lil modern combo with our MTC teacher it was so funny maybe I'll send a vid next week
Spiritual:
-like I said before, everyday is so special and spiritual! We've been reading the Book of Mormon everyday with our district and its been so good. I love the BOM!!!! read it
-On Sunday night my district went up to the temple and sang some songs and sang 'a childs prayer' which is my fav primary song. You know I bawled the whole time singing that cute lil song looking at the temple. I used to always sing that song when I was scared when I was little and it was such a reminder to me that God loves us and is always there!
-during one of the times when the teacher that made us cry a lot was teaching, he had us bear our testimony to our companion. I have been struggling trying to teach simply and always overcomplicate everything. but this time I just closed my notebook and instead of trying to hit all the points I needed to cover, I just started talking. And it was so special, the words came straight from my heart. and then later Sister Lee (from Taiwan, learning English) said a prayer with all the sisters in the district and we all felt the spirit so strong! Heavenly Father loves us so much and we are His precious daughters! ugh it was so great
-We had a bunch of devos and what not this week, each were so good. I love being able to hear from Apostles of the Lord! just remember this simple equation: me(you)+Christ=more! Anchor your heart to the Savior of the world and all will be okay!
-I wish I could tell you every little special thing that happens every day but its impossible haha. Just read Alma 26:16 and that is the best way I can express how I feel about everything
Joys:
-lil sheep everywhere you look in the fields. Just like how you imagine! its so happy
-bonding with the district. they are some of the kindest most funny adorable little missionaries ever. We all are going to Leeds! I love them to death
-last p day we got to go out into Chorley town square, ahh so cute! for reals except for when me and another sister got left behind and we were lost for a lil bit oops. But then we found our peeps and it was chill. also got cute lil matching socks which is just so presh
-having an angel companion, angel roommates, angel district, angel teachers, and angel MTC pres and wife
-running by the canal in the beautiful English countryside. seriously so joyful
Haha I promise it probably sounds like I am being so emotional all the time haha but its always happy tears! :') Thankyou for all the love and support! I love the gospel and I am so happy!!!!! Love you all keep me updated on your lives :) <3
