Week 1
Hello! I'm here in England at the MTC and I love it! it is so fun! The past week I have learned so much. Here's some of the deets :)
England:
-my companion Sister Richards (who is cousins with my friend Carly from BYU!) is so presh! We get along so well and are super similar. I adore her
-The mtc pres and his wife President and Sister Bunker are so awesome! I love being in a tiny little MTC, there's only 51 missionaries here right now. And there are so many people from around the world! its so so cool.
-we get to exercise everyday for 2 hours!
-We also got to go out to Manchester and (try to) proselyte. it was so fun!!! At first I was so scared but then we got out there and were rejected by everyone but it was actually a really good experience and fun to just be out of the MTC.
-When I first got here it was super snowy which was surprising lol but now its all melted. Super chilly still though
-everyone drives on the left side of the road! sketch
-I love hearing people's accents hehe
-everything is sooooo green! even the tree trunks and fences haha from the moss
Funny:
-okay so there are these two Italian sisters going to the states for their missions and are waiting for their visas so they're here. They are the funniest ever! oh my heck they are always talking with their hands and talking about the mafia, they are so funny
-after classes we have a lil snack time and we were talking about first names of people and we asked some elders what their names were and it went like this: "Ieagon" (sweden), "Franchesarisk" (Slovakia) and "Randy" (rexburg Idaho) hahahahahahah it was so funny.
-when we were in Manchester my comp and I were saying hello to everyone and a lady said back to us "hello elders!" Hahaha
-if you know me you know I laugh at everything so that's what I've been doing haha
Spiritual:
-everyday I pretty much cry because I feel the spirit! haha its so strong here, the MTC is a very special place.
-there is a sister in my district, Sister Lee from Taiwan, who is learning English. She's doing really well and is just so adorable and precious. everytime she bears her testimony and speaks its so simple and she is such an example to me of hard work and humility! oh my I love her.
-last Sunday was fast and testimony meeting, and I literally bawled the whole time. it was so special! Everyone who bore their testimonies did it in their mission language but then could use their native language if needed and it was so emotional, like we all are going through this together and working so hard and it just made me love everyone here so much.
-also on Sunday, some elders in our district gave priesthood blessings to the sisters. An elder from the Phillippines gave me a blessing and he said exactly what I needed to hear, it was so cool to see him being so in tune with the spirit. My lil heart was comforted and it was so presh
It is seriously so hard to express and tell you all the emotions and feelings and details of everything that has happened. But just know I am so happy! Thank you for all the support and love! I can read emails everyday but just can't respond til my pday on Tuesday. Love you all!!!! God loves you!
